about

I wanted to write a fun late 90s/early 00’s pop-punk song and this is what came out of it. Pretty self explanatory.. After breaking off a relationship with me this girl decided to get back together with her ex-boyfriend that cheated on her in the past. Co-wrote this one with Mike Piane and Drew Moralez of Up from the Wormwood. Mike played drums on the recording and Kyle Ahlstrom did a killer job screaming on it. Excited to play this one live!

lyrics

LYRICS:

Deep down inside. I know you know what’s right. You say we tried buy you never gave me time and your already back in his arms. You’ll never be the same in my eyes...

What we had was meaningless. You ripped my heart out of my chest. I’m so lost. I don’t understand this. Why’d you go running back to him.

Now you despise everything about me but you can’t explain why. It’s based on security and you’re already back in his arms. You’re already back in his arms..

What we had was meaningless. You ripped my heart out of my chest. I’m so lost. I don’t understand this. Why’d you go running back to him.

(Oh’s)

What we had was meaningless. You ripped my heart out of my chest. I’m so lost. I don’t understand this. Why’d you go running back to him. (2x)
